A Toronto-based organization exploring technology for dementia care.
Captain’s Chair is a Toronto-based organization exploring technology for dementia care. We are building a clinical assessment platform that uses AI-assisted language analysis to measure cognitive decline in people with Alzheimer’s and dementia — validated through randomized controlled trials conducted in real care home settings.
Our work sits at the intersection of clinical research and technology development. The research is not separate from the technology — it is what makes the technology credible and the outcomes meaningful.
We are in the early stages of developing technology designed specifically for the realities of dementia care — not adapted from generic healthcare software, but built from the ground up with care home environments and the people who live and work in them in mind.
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
To improve the lives of people living with dementia through validated clinical research and purpose-built technology.
